Ben talks with Ryan Polk, Chief Product Officer at Stack Overflow, about our strategic partnership with Google Cloud, the importance of collaboration between AI companies and the Stack Overflow community, and why Stack Overflow’s Q&A format is so suitable for training AI models.
I don’t think this partnership is going to do anything to stop the misuse of AI. The problem is that there are too many people who are willing to use AI for harmful purposes, and no amount of education or tools is going to change that.
Oh, the irony! Google, the company that’s been caught red-handed using AI to manipulate people, is now partnering with Stack Overflow to encourage socially responsible AI. This is like the fox guarding the henhouse.
I’m hopeful that this partnership will lead to some real progress on the issue of socially responsible AI. I think it’s important to have a conversation about the ethical implications of AI, and I’m glad that Google and Stack Overflow are taking the lead.
Yeah, I’m sure Google is really committed to socially responsible AI. Just look at their track record with user privacy.
I can’t wait to see the AI system that Google and Stack Overflow develop. I’m sure it will be just as useful as the AI system that Microsoft developed to help us all write better emails. (Hint: it was a complete waste of time.)
I’m not sure I trust Google with this. They have a history of using their technology for evil, and I don’t want them to have any more power over AI.
This is awesome! I’m really excited to see what Google and Stack Overflow come up with. I think this partnership has the potential to make a real difference in the world.
This partnership is a great opportunity to learn more about the ethical implications of AI. I’m looking forward to seeing the resources and tools that Google and Stack Overflow develop.
I can’t wait to see the AI system that Google and Stack Overflow develop to help us all be more socially responsible. I’m sure it will be just as useful as the AI system that Facebook developed to help us all be more productive. (Hint: it was a complete waste of time.)
I’m not convinced that this partnership is going to make a difference. I think the problem of AI misuse is too big for any one company to solve.
Sure, Google and Stack Overflow are going to encourage socially responsible AI. And I’m going to win the lottery next week.
I’m interested to see what comes of this partnership. I think it’s important to have a conversation about the ethical implications of AI, and I’m hopeful that Google and Stack Overflow can help to lead that conversation.
This is a great initiative! I’m excited to see what resources and tools Google and Stack Overflow come up with. I think it’s important to make sure that AI is used for good, and that it’s designed in a way that respects human rights and values.
Of course, Google is partnering with Stack Overflow to encourage socially responsible AI. It’s like the wolf promising to protect the sheep.
I’m a little worried about this partnership. I’m not sure if Google can be trusted to use AI for good. They have a history of putting their own profits ahead of the public interest.
